Before you even think what took me so long to tap my fingers back again on the keyboard, let me confess that I was on the run after committing a regicide. I know it well and so do you, wonderful folks, that it’s a lie, but I wouldn’t be reluctant to the hearsay of such a scandal. I reckon it’s not innocuous to be in a scandalous rumor unless it’s pernicious. Quite contrary to the fact that I chose to remain reticent for a while.
-Or if I open up more, I was in a befuddled state where all I could see was black walls and white light. ‘Pretty dull’ I know, but don’t ask me about the colors, they too were immutable.
It’s not just me who has these moments, it’s everyone, you, your peers, your well-wishers, the trollers, the one who complains about the quality of his Facebook friends, the assholes, the person with everything and the one who has nothing, all go through these burdened muddles. It’s a tacit reality and it would be ridiculously foolish of us to dismember ourselves from these baffling instants which at times makes us behave in perversive ways and the only way out is to show indefatigability towards the felicity we are wildly chasing.
This is such a self-indulgent start to what was supposed to be a write-up about art, but I didn’t want to skip the beat and decided to spread the rumors even more. Usually, I would gabble about these things but not while writing, as I am a bit genetive about writing and cheating on it might cause melancholic smiles. I don’t want it to become a wont to gossip, but next time I would favor using the preferred adjective than going into the details. I am not yet ready to take the oath, though, so bear with me if the king is assassinated again.
Let’s get down to business now.
A true artistic genius Mike Dargas is in the pursuit of perfection when it comes to creating his masterpieces. I had my jaws dropped when I saw his recent work. I started mumbling to myself like an incantation, “it can’t be real,” “no way on Earth this can be painted,” “it’s a photograph,” “there are no means for such flawlessness.” But to all the repetitive incantations marring my mind of these thoughts, the perfection of his oeuvre left an indelible mark on me.
When you come across such incredible piece of artwork, it either frees you or freezes you. There’s a reverential aspect to it which fills the huge desert void caused by the scabrous pieces of art. Mike Dargas is not shy to make you elude into his created world, the world of perfection.
Once you are indulged in his world, it’s nothing less than a beautiful adventure, not only of his art but of him as a man and artist.
The artist’s new gems are poetically enchanting and mesmerizingly sensual. They are bold and seductive but far from appearing gaudy.
You will be keen to discover more of his work when you start grasping the subtleties and the discipline with which he crafts his work. The artist’s new gems are poetically enchanting and mesmerizingly sensual. They are bold and seductive but far from appearing gaudy. Sometimes, depicting seduction may go overboard, but Mike meticulously tends to differentiate between the thin line of being tawdry or alluring and quite promisingly leans towards the later.
A while ago, this narrative was contaminated with the flaws we have and how we whine about the quotidian worries and Mike’s work lies on the complete opposite side of the spectrum to remind us of the perfections we ungraciously ignore. The creative juices urging to be perfect in Mike’s work is a reminder to us to stop hammering the nails into the flaws and intent to pursue and grip our innate perfections. In my article, Perfectly Flawed, I urged you and even myself to accept our flaws, today for Mike’s sake, let’s celebrate our perfections. I am drowning in my perfections ‘glub glub glub,’ you start planning your festivity.
